THE PLANET IS BURNING: CAN WE SURVIVE

Is it “global warming”? “Climate crisis”? “Climatic changes”? No matter what we call it, the world is surely undergoing a period of extreme long-term shifts in weather patterns and temperatures that humans must address.

To explore what climate change is and what — if anything — can be done about it, the Ujima Pan African Media Archives (UPAMA) organization presents a virtual panel discussion.

The panelists for this virtual presentation will be Gregory S. Jenkins, professor of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science at Penn State; Senator Lorenzo Harewood of Barbados, chair of the National Conservation Commission; and Dwayne Johnson, principal systems engineer and scuba diver.
